How do you tactfully ward off gangster minded people that you owe nothing to you just outsmarted and they are?

Met some people by chance when I was down on my luck stupidly invested all I had $800 to have them turn it and make profit. I only received $600 back then I lost $200 more to their game. Now I am at the head of their food chain hanging out with their top friend and they are livid.
