Godfather: Black Hand was awesome. Same concept as GTA, but you beat up shop clerks for payment. Its a lot of fun.
You can also try No More Heroes. A very bloody game where you run around with an electro-blade (like a lightsaber) and cut up thugs and other assassins.
Both are great GTA-like games on the Wii.
