What software should I use for designing a math textbook?

software
Lazy Eight (?) asked:

I am currently writing a manual for the math and I know that software publishers / authors use to design their book. Currently I am using latex to prepare my book, I still need a software that can do graphics operated as sources for math support. All suggestions on program packages will be greatly appreciated. emacs, you have a joke right. Can I use all the latex and Photoshop? For example, after creating the PDF file using the latex can I import into photoshop?
