Did Jay Z really mean to retire in 2003?
I mean obviously its suspect becuase it was like he kept himself in the game for a while even after his formal “retirement”. Then he dropped Kindgom Come and American Gangster. But in one of his hots Encore from tge Black album this line stands out to me
“As fate would have it, Jay’s status appears
to be at an all-time high, perfect time to say goodbye
When I come back like Jordan, wearin the 4-5
It ain’t to play games witchu
It’s to aim at you, probably maim you”
I mean its like that line just went over everybodys heads. Even Me! I just want some opinions…
But anyway I think Jay Z is will NEVER STOP making albums and music. Even if he stops with the albums … he’ll ALWAYS make music. He’s gonna be like Michael Jackson at 50 years old doing 10 shows in New York City or sumthin. LOL!!!!!! He’s one of the few rappers that is actually here to stay. And has that staying power and will only grow his superstardom to bigger heights
