What was the name of this old card game?

gangster games
Little Sam asked:

What was the name of this old card game? It was made by either Parker Brothers or by the makers of Uno. Here is what I remember about it. It was a bidding and trick taking game somewhat similar to Spades. It was played with a special deck. Some of the cards had a picture of a gangster on it. Of course they were not real gangsters, just people dressed up as gangsters. I think at least one of the cards had the picture of a dog on it. I don’t remember much more about it except I think it had a weird scoring system. That’s all I remember. It is driving me crazy!! What was the name of that old card game?
Rosinbagger suggested “Top Trumps”. That just does not sound correct. I looked “Top Trumps” up on Wikipedia. If the description of “Top Trumps” on that site is anywhere close to correct, I do not think that is the game I am thinking of. It does not sound right in any case. Are there any other ideas?
Bingo!! Jason T. has it!! It was “Beggars and Thieves”!! “Beggars and Thieves” was the game I was thinking of!!! Thanks a lot, Jason T.!!

Well, there’s a really old game by Milton Bradley called “G-Men.”

Another possibility is:

“Beggars and Thieves” -

Happy gaming!
