why does jason terry throw up gang signs?

yeah so im watching the mavs vs hornets game right now and when Jason Terry hit that open 3 he threw up some gang signs after… whats up with that!?! this dude is not no gangster and he will never be… i seen his crib and its god damn nice… i also see this guy trying to be a rapper with a bunch of his groupies thinking that their hard hanging outside at night in the suburbs… he needs to give it up… basketball is his thing, not trying to be a gangster.
