Why complain and talk bad about cycling if you are not a fan?

Two of the three major american sports have worse problems than cycling. Basketball has had at least some of its playoff games fixed by the mafias friend. Football has Vick and the underground dogfighting ring. And baseball the other major sport has doping issues as well. So why is almost all cycling news negative and about doping? It seems to me that the media does not enjoy cycling.
