Mafia wars finding other people?

I just started playing Mafia wars and was wondering how I can find othe rmafiosi. When I view other profiles the only choices it gives me are to attack, sucker punch, and add to marked list. Is there a way to add more people through the game, or can I only add my friends. I was also wondering where I can find other families. It gives other people the option to join my family but I can find a page just for my family. I have only been able to find individual stats, and those don’t say what family my members are apart of.

On bulletins on myspace,
they say,

Or something like that.
You basically join their mafias.
Just find that and post it on a bulletin.
Forums. you get like 100 adds an hour.
