how to turn on wireless internet so i could play online games?

i try playing online games on my computer and every time they say that it cant connect to server for example the game i downloaded was combat arms i tried every thing like turning off my fire wall and updating it but it never workd but people keep telling me my internet is off how do i turn it on im on wireless internet and im not using a laptop thanks.

Firstly, do you have a wireless compatibility with your pc?
Secondly, does your modem include wireless connectivity?
If you have answered yes to both, then either A: your wireless is switched off on your pc or on your modem.
To access modem to switch on, depending on your modem, type in the address bar in a internet page or
