How do you add someone into Mafia wars on facebook, when they are not your friend?

I want to add people to my facebook mafia war game, but I don’t want them to be my friend is there a way to do this? I have tried looking it up, but I cannot seem to find anything.
Someone has done it before. I had somebody do it to my account, and I dont even know him, nor am I his friend.

Nope, the only way you can add them is if they are on your friends list.

There isn’t any way to do that as far as I’m concerned. The only way I assume this could work is if you befriend someone, join their mafia, and then take them off your friends list.
If someone you know did manage to do this, they might have been using a hack. There’s been a lot of hacks going on lately.
A person has to be your friend to join your mafia.
Many people add people to their MySpace, add them to their Mafia, and then delete them as their MySpace friend. They will stay in your Mafia if you delete them as a MySpace friend.
In the early days of the game, you didn’t have to be a person’s MySpace friend to be added to their Mafia, but this changed around July/August of 2008
