How can I lose the lag while playing online games?

When I play Half-Life 2, or TF2, or any other games like these (Warcraft works fine btw) it lags terribly, the gameplay is choppy, and when a high detail point comes I get an error and the game exits. How can I stop this? Do I need a new computer alltogether? (It said I need to update my drivers, will this really help)?

Its pretty fast check out this website it was a 10 year old boy that started it and is mom approved it it has FREE games like Action , Educational, Arcade, Driving I think like over 2000 free games. Mom OK Games
Dude, You can’t lose it, if you play a Private server.. OF COURSE is the owner’s PC….
And if is not a private server… its your Pc You can’t correct it!

you probably need to clear up some of the unused data on your computers harddrive, it should make it go faster.
problems with:
- graphics card
-internet
-too much rubbish data
