Games are more sensitive to harware problems but windows can actually function somewhat even with a hardware problem, check everything. Also check security settings on your browser. You may be blocking a certain script that causes your browser to crash. Go to tools... security settings... and then one of those tabs has an option to reset browser settings do that and then try. One of these has to help. I would make sure its not a certain game.
