French, or German from my experience. Runescape is in fact encoded in German, that is why it is very hard to hack.

Online video games have a very heavy language for programmers, if you want to program, start with c++ something simple.
From them make a quick google search and you will be able to get the exact language required.

If they run in your browser they’re running in Actionscript or Javascript. The server side will be in PHP, ASP, Perl, Ruby or some other server-side language. (Browsers can’t run executables, like programs written in a dialect of C. Those games are desktop games, not online games.)
