My computer restarts automatically while playing games can somebody explain to me why it is so?
My computer is obviously not a new one it had been bought before 2 to 3 years ago I think.
My SYSTEM information are as follows:
PROCESSOR:-Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00 GHz
RAM:-512 mb.
OPERATING SYSTEM:- Windows XP service pack 2.
GRAHIC CARD details are as follows:-
PROCESSOR:- GeForce 6600 LE.
VIDEO BIOS VERSION:- 5.43.02.89.68.
IRQ:- 16
BUS:- PCI Express x16
MEMORY:-256 mb
FORCEWARE VERSION:-77.77
TV encorder type:- NVIDIA integrated
Directx 9.0 or better.
I have scanned my system fully using norton antivirus but there were no problems.
I actually play games like MAFIA 1,TOTAL OVERDOSE and LITTLE FIGHTER2.0…
I know Mafia and total overdose is quite a big game when compared to the the 20mb little fighter….
But If Iam not playin games my pc does not restart….Can someone help me about this…..
But guys I know little fighter is a small and childish game which requires only 23 mb of free space does it require a better RAM or GRAPHIC CARD than what I have now?
In addition my friends have just 512 mb of graphic card and lesser Ram than me then y don’t their system restart?

i am familiar with the kind of problem u r into.the reason is u have insufficient RAM or ur system needs a better graphics card or both.u have graphics card of 256 mb so most probable reason is ram.
Most likely overheating. Try leaving your side panel off next time and see if you see any change,
