cabal online is a good one.try it
it may not be you cup of tea (its a text based scenario type game) but sryth is a great game
its a free game but (this goes against the conditions of your question) theres an option to join the advanced part and get the extra features and what not but its only a one time fee of 20.00$ usd (and the game is great without it)
