Would a router make a difference to online games?
Josh R asked:
I’ve been thinking of buying a new router becuase the one I have at the moment is only 54Mbps which is only good for light internet usage. So, I want to get a N+ router that can prioritise traffic.

Would a N+ router improve gaming quality online? And does it have any other benfits over a standard G+?
Thanks in advance

Yes, it gives you a wider range and N is recommended for online gaming. But gaming with routers can always result in slow connections. Wired is the best.
I have a D-Link DIR 615. It works very good. Has 4 ports for wired and my connection is usually great!
In the past i have had three different routers and with each one the connection i got was different. The N+ would definatly improve gaming online. But like it has been said before wireless does not even compare withe the connection you get with a wire.
Yes a d-link – would recommend. my house is full of internet heads – xbox/ebay/poker/facebook all going on in different rooms -
